Judge uses the term "fucking lazy nigger" in court.

Judge John MacMillan used the term "fucking lazy nigger" during a recent Birmingham Employment Tribunal hearing of  Warren Simpson versus West Midlands Fire Service. Mr Simpson is the highest ranked fire officer in West Midlands. We believe that Judge MacMillan's use of language was completely unacceptable, grossly offensive, deliberately provocative . We believe these comments as designed to Mr Simpson.

Despite and application hearing to the court demanding that the Employment Tribunal Panel including Judge MacMillan., Ms French and Mr De Lacey should now stand down. They refused and during the course of this hearing Judge MacMillan once again repeated the words " fucking lazy nigger". The courtroom was stunned.

The matter has been referred to the Lord Chancellors Office and the President of the Employment Tribunal who announced and immediate investigation.

The Society of Black Lawyers, Race 4 Justice and Black Activists Rising Against Cuts (BARAC) believe there is no place for this type of blatant racism in our courtrooms or employment tribunals.

We call upon organisations and individuals to sign and share this petition calling on the President of the Employment Tribunal to immediately suspended Judge MacMillan pending the outcome of the his investigation.
