POSTPONEMENT OF MLK50 MARCH ON WESTMINSTER ON 31ST AUGUST DUE TO A BEREAVEMENT

Dear Colleagues
It is with regret that we have to postpone the planned MLK50 march on Westminster for jobs and justice scheduled to take place on 31st of August. A member of the march organising team has a family bereavement and we are postponing out of respect to them and their family. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you and thank you for your understanding at a difficult time.
We will be in contact regarding a new date for the march as soon as we can. We would appreciate it if you could pass this message on to any networks you circulated details of the march to.
In the meantime we would encourage you to attend two other events relating to our planned march in the coming week. The first is an event at South Bank Centre, London, marking the 50th anniversary of the march on Washington, taking place on 28th August and the second is the Anti-Racist convoy in response to the recent racist advans taking place on 1 September.
